This week both artists make us notice the things we normally accept without thinking: how we inhabit buildings, move through public space, work, queue, consume, obey rules, maintain things, or adapt when systems fail. The work of Ahmet Öğüt & Avril Corroon reveal the strange rituals that organize ordinary life, and the possibilities that emerge when those rituals are interrupted, reimagined, or playfully turned inside out.
